How to use: RRB signature size (50 × 20 mm, 100 DPI)
- 1Draw a 50 × 20 mm box on white paper and sign inside it with a black pen.
- 2Photograph it and crop to the box.
- 3Add it here. 50 × 20 mm, 100 DPI and 30–40 KB are filled in.
- 4Press "Make it fit" and check that the full signature is visible.
- 5Download the JPG for the signature step of the RRB form.
Why the 50 × 20 mm box matters
The notice fixes the physical size, so the right pixel size depends on the resolution: 50 × 20 mm at 100 DPI is 197 × 79 pixels. Signing inside a drawn box also keeps your signature at a natural size, so it is not tiny when scaled down.
Topping up to the minimum
A 197 × 79 signature is only a few KB even at top quality. The tool saves it as sharp as possible and adds blank metadata to reach the 30 KB minimum. The picture is the same; only the file size changes. The RRB photo works the same way.
Frequently asked questions
Why 30–40 KB?
Recent CEN notices and summaries list either 10–40 KB or 30–49 KB for the signature. A file of 30–40 KB passes both. If your notice gives another range, edit the minimum and maximum.
Can I sign in capital letters?
No. RRB asks for a signature in running letters, not block letters, and it must match what you sign at the exam.
My signature is light blue. Is that a problem?
Use black ink as the notice asks. The clean-up darkens faint strokes, but a black pen gives the clearest result at this small size.
