How to use: NEET photo size (10–200 KB)
- 1Use a recent colour photo on a plain white background with both ears visible.
- 2Add it here. The size starts at 413 × 531 pixels (35 × 45 mm at 300 DPI) and 10–200 KB.
- 3Press "Make it fit" and check that your face fills most of the frame.
- 4Download the JPG for the passport-size photo box.
- 5For the postcard-size photo, run it again at 1200 × 1800 pixels (4 × 6 inch).
NTA’s photo rules in short
- 80% face, looking straight at the camera, both ears visible.
- White background, no shadows, no props.
- No caps or dark glasses. Spectacles are allowed if they are part of your daily look and do not reflect.
- The same photo for all prints. Keep copies of the photo for the admit card and counselling.
Keep the face, crop the rest
The page crops from the centre, so frame the original with your face in the middle and some space above your head. If the crop cuts your chin or hair, retake the photo with the camera a little farther away rather than stretching the image.
You will also need your NEET signature, which has a much smaller 4–30 KB limit.
Frequently asked questions
What is the postcard size photo for NEET?
NEET also asks for a postcard-size photo, 4 × 6 inches. Change the width to 1200 and the height to 1800 pixels, keep 10–200 KB, and the tool makes that version from the same picture.
Can I use a selfie?
NTA does not accept selfies, Polaroids or computer-edited photos. Use a proper photo taken by someone else or a studio, with even lighting.
Should the photo show my name and date?
Check the current information bulletin. Some NTA bulletins have asked for the name and date of the photo to appear below the face; if yours does, add it before resizing.
