Rotate PDF pages

Fix scanned pages that came out sideways or upside down. Click a page to turn it, or rotate every page at once, then save a PDF that opens the right way up everywhere.

Files stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded.

How to use: Rotate PDF

  1. 1Choose the PDF with the pages you want to turn.
  2. 2Click a page preview to rotate it 90° clockwise. Click again to keep turning.
  3. 3Use "All left" or "All right" to rotate every page together.
  4. 4Press "Save rotated PDF" and download the corrected file.

Why rotate before you share or upload

Sideways pages are hard to read, and many online portals show uploaded documents exactly as they are stored. Reviewers then have to tilt their heads, or worse, reject the upload as unclear. Rotating the pages once fixes it for everyone who opens the file.

How it works

PDF pages store their orientation as a simple setting. NapTools updates that setting for each page you turn, so the change is instant and lossless. Pages that were already rotated by your scanner are taken into account: turning such a page 90° moves it 90° from how it currently looks.

Works with scanned and digital PDFs

It doesn’t matter whether the PDF came from a scanner, a phone app or a computer. Text stays selectable and links keep working after rotation.

Frequently asked questions

Is the rotation permanent?

Yes. The new rotation is saved in the PDF, so it opens the right way up in every PDF reader, on any device.

Can I rotate only some pages?

Yes. Click just the pages that need turning. The others stay as they are.

Does rotating reduce quality?

No. Rotation only changes how the page is displayed. The text and images on it are not re-rendered.

Why are my scanned pages sideways in the first place?

Phone scanning apps and scanners guess the orientation, and they often get landscape documents or upside-down pages wrong.
