Pixels, not centimetres
Online forms check pixel dimensions. If a form asks for a photo in centimetres or millimetres, convert using the DPI it states: pixels = millimetres ÷ 25.4 × DPI. At 300 DPI, 35 mm is about 413 pixels.
Batch resize
Add dozens of product photos or event pictures and resize them all to the same width in one go. Each file keeps its name with the new size added, for example shop-photo-1080x1080.jpg.
Frequently asked questions
How do I resize without distorting the photo?
Enter only the width or only the height, and the other side is calculated to keep the same proportions. If you enter both, choose Fit inside or Crop to fill, which never stretch the photo.
What is "Crop to fill" for?
Many forms need an exact size, such as 413 × 531 pixels for a passport photo. Crop to fill resizes the photo to cover that size completely and trims the edges equally, so the face stays centred.
Will resizing reduce quality?
Making a photo smaller keeps it sharp because NapTools downscales in steps with high-quality smoothing. Making a small photo much larger cannot add detail, so it will look soft.
Does resizing also reduce the file size?
Usually yes, because fewer pixels means a smaller file. If you need an exact file size in KB, use the Compress image to KB tool.
