How to use: IBPS signature size (140 × 60, 10–20 KB)
- 1Sign on a plain white sheet with a black pen, a little larger than you normally would.
- 2Photograph it in daylight, holding the phone flat above the paper.
- 3Add the photo here. The size, KB range and clean-up are already set.
- 4Press "Make it fit" and zoom into the preview to check every letter is there.
- 5Download the JPG for the "Signature" box.
Why phone photos of signatures get rejected
A signature photographed indoors usually comes out on grey or yellowish paper, with a shadow from your hand or phone. At 140 × 60 pixels the grey eats into thin pen strokes and the result looks smudged. The White paper, dark ink clean-up, already switched on here, stretches the contrast: the paper becomes pure white and the ink becomes dark, so the small image stays readable.
Keep the whole signature
Signatures are much wider than they are tall. The page uses Keep everything framing, which fits the full signature inside 140 × 60 and fills the gaps with white, instead of cropping the ends off. Crop out extra desk or paper in your gallery app first so the signature fills more of the frame.
Use the same file everywhere
Save the downloaded JPG somewhere safe. IBPS mains, SBI and RRB forms reuse the same rule, and uploading the identical signature keeps every application consistent.
Frequently asked questions
My signature file is too small for the 10 KB minimum. Why?
A 140 × 60 picture of black lines on white paper is only about 3–5 KB even at top quality. The tool tops the file up with blank metadata to clear the minimum without changing the picture.
Can I sign in capital letters?
No. IBPS notices say a signature in capital letters will not be accepted. Sign the way you normally do, in running hand.
Does the signature have to match later?
Yes. You will sign the attendance sheet and the call letter at the exam, and IBPS may reject your candidature if those signatures do not match the uploaded one.
