Compress a PDF to 2 MB

With a 2 MB allowance, NapTools can keep photos and scans at high quality while cutting the dead weight from heavy PDFs, such as exported presentations, photo reports and brochures.

Files stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded.

When 2 MB is the limit

  • Job portals that accept a resume and portfolio in one PDF.
  • Email, where some workplace systems reject attachments above 2 MB.
  • Tender and vendor registration portals with per-document limits.
  • College submissions of reports with many figures.

Quality-first compression

Because 2 MB is fairly generous, NapTools normally reaches it with light compression, keeping images at up to 2400 pixels on the long side. That is sharp enough for full-screen viewing and normal printing.

Presentations and design exports

Slides exported to PDF often embed each photo at its original camera resolution, even when it’s shown small on the slide. Compressing them is one of the easiest wins: 20–40 MB decks commonly drop under 2 MB.

Frequently asked questions

What kind of PDFs benefit most?

PowerPoint and Canva exports with large photos, real-estate and product brochures, photo reports and scanned books. They often carry images far bigger than the page needs.

Will charts and text stay sharp?

Yes. Charts, shapes and text that are stored as vector graphics are not changed at all. Only photographic images are recompressed.

Why did my PDF only shrink a little?

If it has no large photos, there is little to compress. NapTools never makes a file bigger; you'll keep the original if it's already optimal.
